“Lost: Missing Pieces are 13 two- to three-minute stories of compelling, new, never-before-seen moments from the hit television show LOST. These newly-created scenes (not deleted scenes from previous episodes) reveal answers and new details about your favorite characters.

Michael

Not to be that guy, but Michael being on the ship was telegraphed a damned mile away. Maybe it was the fact that Harold Perreneau’s name has been back in the credits since the first ep of the season, but that was the least shocking shock in recent memories on the show—at least for me. You?

the flashback-flashforward mindfuck

That was Sun-Jin good time on Thursday! See, that’s how you do an episode not full of the kind of fireworks of the first few shows of the season—you do real, compelling character development. Not the Juliet shitfest of last week. Also, Hurly looks weird in a suit.

Literary Allusions in Lost

There are a shitton of them in every episode, but here are a couple that come to mind:

Sawyer and Ben riffing on “Of Mice and Men” in season three (best line: “you’d like it, they kill bunny rabbits”)

Black Rock - The Spanish galleon in the middle of a forest in One Hundred Years of Solitude

 ”Unstuck in Time” - Slaughtehouse Five, I’m thinking
